SMP can attach physics to (almost) any bone. CBPC is just for a few predefined. Thats why CBPC will not work for things like clothes and hair, but SMP will.

Edit: it’s back and I’m now getting CTDs when selecting HDT hairs in racemenu. Edit 2: turns out I accidentally chose the SE version instead of AE in the Fomod. A reinstall and correct version selection has fixed it..
